So sorry for not being active the past week
I have my review of the last SMASH!!! and The Voice episodes but I am SWAMPED with school work. I’ll get them out as soon as I can. Sorry guys :/
So, these two people, Jonathan and Charlotte, debuted on Britain’s Got Talent and…wow. His beautiful opera voice moved me to tears. I mean…damn, this kid has some pipes!! I don’t watch the show, but he’s definitely one to look at in the next few weeks. BGT gave us Susan Boyle and now this kid might be their next big star.
Happy 26th Birthday, Mother Monster! You are a hero and inspiration to us. Thanks for all your outspoken support of the LGBTQ community. We hope you have a fabulous day!
The Voice: Battle Rounds, Ep. 9
The last night of Battle Rounds!!! And then the live shows!! That’s when I’ll actually start buying their songs so I can vote and you should too!! If they’re awesome, why not support with your monies? :D Let’s begin!
Team Cee Lo: 5th Pairing- James vs WADE singing “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper. James got to work with Ne-Yo. Poor guy was the underdog from the get-go; he doesn’t even know the song! And because of that, his nerves were holding him down. WADE got to work with Babyface. Babyface LOVED his voice. He said that for someone so young, he could carry adult songs flawlessly. That, and he reminded him of Luther Vandross. During the battle, WADE’s voice sounded beautiful with the song. James, however, did not. He’s much to…pop-y for the song. The judges thought that James’ voice grabbed their attention and his character was more prominent. Nerves held WADE back and that disappointed Cee Lo. Cee Lo chose James as the winner.
Team Adam: 5th Pairing- Nicolle vs Mathai singing “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles. Nicole got to work with Robin. They were worried about Mathai’s energy and Nicolle needing to embody the sweetness of the song. They also think that she needs to get away from the piano. Mathai got to work with Alanis. She said Mathai had a lot of natural talent but to not skip notes. During rehearsals, Adam had enough of Nicolle and her piano and got rid of it. In the battle, I honestly thought that Nicolle sounded better and Mathai’s inflections just sounded horrible with the song. The judges siad that Nicolle was too generic sounding and Mathai had a lot of character. Adam was not happy with the performance but chose Mathai as the winner.
